Auralgan Ear Drops combine benzocaine, a local anaesthetic, with phenazone, an analgesic. Otitis media is an infection or inflammation of the middle ear; the signs and symptoms include throbbing pain and difficulty hearing.

Ingredients
Each 1mL contains phenazone 54mg and benzocaine 14mg. Contains hydroxyquinoline sulfate 375 micrograms/mL as the preservative.
Directions
- Use Auralgan Ear Drops at room temperature. If the bottle is cold to the touch, warm it in your hand for a minute.
- Tilt the head to one side with the affected ear uppermost.
- Fill the ear canal and plug the ear with cotton wool moistened with Auralgan Ear Drops.
- Repeat every 1 to 2 hours until pain is relieved.
- Avoid touching the ear with the dropper. Do not rinse the dropper after use. Replace the dropper in the bottle after use and cap tightly.
Warnings
- For external use only.
- Not recommended for infants under 1 year of age.
- The dropper used in this product contains natural rubber.
- Do not use if you have a perforated ear drum, discharge from the ear, or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or similar substances.
- If irritation occurs, stop use immediately and seek medical advice.
- Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if you have difficulty breathing; pale, grey or blue coloured skin; or weakness, confusion or headache.
- If the seal around the cap is broken or missing, do not use. Discard 6 months after opening.
