BONJELA Teething Gel 15g

Bonjela is a medicated oral gel for the pain and discomfort of mouth ulcers, denture and brace sores, and teething. It is massaged into the affected area of the mouth.

Soothing relief from the pain and discomfort of mouth ulcers and mouth sores, denture sores, and teething. Bonjela relieves pain, reduces swelling through its anti-inflammatory action, and helps fight infection through its antibacterial action.

Ingredients

Active ingredient: choline salicylate 87mg/g (8.7% w/w). Also contains cetalkonium chloride as a preservative, alcohol and saccharin.

Directions

Unscrew the cap and discard the plastic ring. Wash your hands, then apply enough gel to cover the tip of the index finger – about a pea-sized amount – and rub it well into the affected area. This can be repeated after 3 hours if necessary. Do not apply more often than once every 3 hours, and give no more than 6 doses in 24 hours. When treating ulcers, wipe the surface free of mucus before applying.

Warnings

• Do not exceed the stated dose. Excessive or prolonged use can be harmful.
• Not suitable for babies under 4 months.
• Do not use if you have a stomach ulcer.
• Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy, or while breastfeeding.
• Unless a doctor has told you to, do not use in children under 16 years of age with, or recovering from, chickenpox, influenza or fever.
• Contains 40% v/v alcohol and saccharin, and cetalkonium chloride as a preservative.
• Do not use if the tube seal is broken.
• If symptoms persist, seek medical or dental advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
