Clinicians Hi-Dose Vit C is a buffered vitamin C powder combining two forms of vitamin C – sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid. The powder allows flexible dosing and can be taken daily or at higher doses during times of immune stress.

Ingredients

Each level 5ml teaspoonful contains: vitamin B2 (riboflavin) 3 mg; vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 700 mg; vitamin C (from sodium ascorbate) 2850 mg. Sodium (from sodium ascorbate) 372 mg / 16 mmol per teaspoonful.

Also contains natural flavourings and stevia.

Directions

1 level teaspoonful in water or juice, 1 to 2 times daily.

Enhanced dosage – for short-term adult use only
Days 1–3: 1 level teaspoonful in water or juice every 2 to 3 hours during waking hours, monitoring the dose according to bowel tolerance.
Days 4–7: 2 level teaspoonfuls twice or three times daily.
After day 7: return to the recommended adult dosage, or as directed by your health professional.

If you use very cold water the powder does not dissolve as well – use tepid water for best results.

Warnings

  • This is a buffered formulation that is gentle on the stomach, but people with a sensitive digestive tract, or with ulcerative colitis or gastric ulcers, may prefer to take it with food or to lower the dose if bowel discomfort occurs.
  • High dosing with vitamin C may cause bowel discomfort, distension, diarrhoea and flatulence. Reduce the dose if these symptoms occur, and contact a health professional if they persist.
  • Enhanced dosing during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only be done under the supervision of a health professional.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
