Clinicians Iron Boost provides carbonyl iron, a well-absorbed high-strength form of iron, together with the cofactors the body uses to absorb and use it.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains:

  • Carbonyl iron (elemental iron 24mg) 24mg
  • Folic acid 300mcg
  • Vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) 50mcg
  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 50mg

Also contains magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide.

Directions

Adults: 1 capsule daily with food.

For children, the capsule contents can be mixed with orange juice.

Iron levels should always be tested before starting iron supplementation.

Warnings

  • Anyone with haemochromatosis, a condition associated with excess iron storage, should discuss their iron status with a health professional before considering iron supplementation.
  • Children should only take iron supplements under the supervision of a health professional.
  • Do not exceed 24mg of iron daily unless directed by your health professional.
  • Take iron at a different time of day from a multivitamin, for best absorption.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: considered safe and well tolerated at the recommended dose of one capsule daily. Dosing above that should be done under health professional supervision.
