Ingredients

Each vege capsule contains:

  • Ginkgo biloba (ginkgo) leaf ext. equiv. dry leaf 8000mg, standardised to 38mg ginkgo flavonoids
  • Ribes nigrum (blackcurrant) fruit ext. 200mg, standardised to 50mg anthocyanin

Also contains precipitated amorphous silica, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.

Directions

Adults: 1 capsule daily, or as directed. Can be taken with eye medications.

  • Not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as there is insufficient safety data.
  • Exercise caution, or avoid, if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, as ginkgo and blackcurrant may have a blood thinning effect.

How does it work?Clinical trials show that Ginkgo biloba has a demonstrated positive effect in Glaucoma by slowing down the progression of visual irregularities, improving visual function and increasing eye blood circulation.Black currant has been shown to increase blood circulation at the optic nerve head and retina and to slow nerve damage progression through its antioxidant action.  Opti Sight contains NZ Blackcurrants which are known for being high in anthocyanins when compared with black currants from other countries.Recommended for: individuals with glaucoma and those with a family history of glaucoma.  Also, those with risk factors for glaucoma including increased intraocular pressure, older age, diabetes, hypertension, thin corneas, and the use of corticosteroids or cholesterol lowering medications.
