How does it work?
Clinical trials show that Ginkgo biloba has a demonstrated positive effect in Glaucoma by slowing down the progression of visual irregularities, improving visual function and increasing eye blood circulation.
 
Black currant has been shown to increase blood circulation at the optic nerve head and retina and to slow nerve damage progression through its antioxidant action.  Opti Sight contains NZ Blackcurrants which are known for being high in anthocyanins when compared with black currants from other countries.
 
Recommended for: individuals with glaucoma and those with a family history of glaucoma.  Also, those with risk factors for glaucoma including increased intraocular pressure, older age, diabetes, hypertension, thin corneas, and the use of corticosteroids or cholesterol lowering medications.
 

Active Ingredients:

Each vegetable capsule contains:
Ginkgo biloba (Gingko) leaf ext. equiv                             8000mg
to dry leaf Standardised to 38mg gingko flavaonoids
 
Ribes nigrum (Black currant) fruit ext.                              200mg
Standardised to 50mg anthocyanin
 
Also Contains: Precipitated amorphous silica, microcrystalline cellulose & magnesium stearate
No Added: sugar, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Dosage:

Adults: 1 capsule daily or as directed.
 

Warnings:

  • Exercise caution in individuals taking antiplatelet or anticoagulant medication, as ginkgo and black currant may have a blood thinning effect.
  • Stop taking 5-7 days prior to surgery.
  • Exercise caution or avoid taking in combination with anticonvulsant medications.
  • Avoid taking during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data
