Ingredients
Each capsule contains:
- Paracetamol 500 mg – a pain reliever that eases headache and other aches and pains, and helps reduce fever
- Guaiphenesin 100 mg – thins mucus to loosen chest congestion so a chesty cough is easier to clear
- Phenylephrine hydrochloride 6.1 mg – helps relieve a blocked and runny nose
Directions
Adults and children 12 years and over: 2 capsules every 4–6 hours at night-time as necessary. Maximum 8 capsules in 24 hours.
Do not take this medicine for longer than a few days in adults, or 48 hours in children, except on medical advice.
Warnings
- Not for children under 12 years.
- Do not use if you have already taken paracetamol.
- Do not use if the carton seal is broken or missing, or if the capsule foil is broken.
- Ask your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, are taking antidepressants, are pregnant, or are taking any other cough and cold medicine.
- Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness in some people.
- Keep to the recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poisons Information Centre (New Zealand 0800 764 766, Australia 13 11 26) or go to a hospital straight away even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed serious liver damage.
- Incorrect use may be harmful.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Store below 25 °C.
