Ingredients

Each sachet contains paracetamol 1000mg, guaiphenesin 200mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 12.2mg.

Paracetamol is an analgesic that relieves headaches and other body aches and pains, and also helps reduce fever. Guaiphenesin thins mucus to loosen chest congestion so it is easier to cough up. Phenylephrine helps relieve a blocked and runny nose.

This product also contains aspartame (E951) and about 2.0g of sucrose per sachet, and 468mg of sodium per 20g of product at the maximum recommended daily dose.

Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine.

Directions

For adults and children 12 years and over. For oral use only.

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in hot (not boiling) water. Stir until dissolved and drink. Take one sachet every 4 to 6 hours as necessary. Do not exceed 4 sachets in 24 hours.

Warnings

• Do not use for children under 12 years.
• Do not use if you have already taken paracetamol.
• Do not use if the sachet seal is broken or damaged.
• Ask your doctor before use if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, are taking antidepressants, are pregnant, or are taking any other medicines to treat cough and cold.
• Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness in some people.
• Keep to the recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poisons Information Centre (New Zealand 0800 764 766) or go to a hospital straight away even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed serious liver damage.
• Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25°C.
• Incorrect use may be harmful.
