Combantrin-1 treats threadworm with a single dose, taken as a chocolate square that children will usually take without a fuss. Each square contains mebendazole, and one square is the whole dose regardless of body weight. A pack of 4 squares.

About threadworms

Threadworms spread easily. The eggs are swallowed after being picked up from surfaces such as door handles, or transferred from fingers to the mouth. The eggs stick to the skin around the bottom with a glue-like substance that causes itching; scratching moves the eggs to the fingernails and back to the mouth, which keeps the cycle going.

There are often no symptoms. The common signs are persistent scratching of the bottom, restless sleep, loss of appetite and irritability.

Used for

  • Single-dose treatment of threadworm in adults and children from 2 years

  • The dose is the same for every family member, regardless of body weight
