Derma Scar Platinum C&E 15g
DermaScar® is a topical silicone gel for managing scarred skin from surgery, burns and other injuries. It is used particularly on raised hypertrophic and keloid scars. With regular use it helps scars become flatter, softer, smoother and paler, and eases the itching and discomfort that come with them. This variant adds two antioxidants — vitamin C at 1% and vitamin E at 10%. A 15 g tube.

Vitamin C works well alongside other antioxidants such as vitamin E, and topical combinations of the two are more effective at preventing photo damage than either vitamin alone.

Ingredients
Active ingredients: Polysiloxane (silicone gel), vitamin C (1%), vitamin E (10%).
Directions
Apply DermaScar twice daily, in the morning and evening, to dry, intact skin.
If the scar is from surgery, check that the wound has healed first — usually 10 to 14 days after surgery. Clean the area with mild soap and water and pat it dry. Place a pea-sized amount of gel at the tip of the scar and spread it thinly over the affected area; a pea-sized amount covers about a 12 cm scar. Allow the gel to dry for 1 to 2 minutes. Once dry, it may be covered with cosmetics or sunscreen.
Warnings
- Apply only to dry, intact skin. Do not apply to an open or unhealed wound.
