Difflam PLUS Antiseptic + Anti-Inflammatory Sore Throat Gargle 200ml

Difflam-C, also sold as Difflam Plus Sore Throat Gargle & Mouth Solution, brings together two actives in one ready-to-use solution: an anti-inflammatory that gives temporary relief of painful conditions of the mouth and throat, and an antiseptic. It is sugar free, so it is suitable for people with diabetes.

Temporary relief of painful conditions of the mouth and throat, including:

• sore throat
• tonsillitis
• pharyngitis
• mouth ulcers
• pain following mouth or throat surgery
• pain following dental procedures

Ingredients

Each 15 ml contains:

• Benzydamine hydrochloride 22.5 mg
• Chlorhexidine gluconate 18 mg

Directions

15 ml to be gargled or used as a mouth rinse every 1½ to 3 hours. Hold in the mouth or gargle for at least 30 seconds, then expel the solution from the mouth after use.

Warnings

• Incorrect use may be harmful.
• Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine or to other anti-inflammatory medicines.
• This product contains chlorhexidine; a severe allergic reaction is possible.
• Do not use in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
• Do not use if the cap seal is broken or the product is past its expiry date.
• Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
• Uninterrupted treatment should not exceed 7 consecutive days unless under medical supervision. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
• Prolonged use of products containing chlorhexidine may cause harmless superficial discoloration of the teeth.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• The clinical efficacy of an antiseptic agent in oral solutions in reducing the severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established.
