Doctors Best - Curcumin Phytosome with Meriva VegeCaps 180
Curcumin is the nutrient complex drawn from turmeric root, a food used for thousands of years and now widely researched for its effects on human health. Many curcumin supplements are poorly absorbed when taken by mouth. Curcumin Phytosome uses the patented Meriva Phytosome technology to change that: each curcuminoid molecule is individually complexed with molecules of phosphatidylcholine (PC), a vital cell membrane nutrient. By easing curcumin's entry into cells and tissues, the PC gives this form greater bioactivity than a non-phytosome curcumin supplement.
Meriva is a registered trademark of Indena S.p.A., Milano.
Benefits
- Delivers curcuminoids with enhanced stability and superior bioactivity — phytosomes naturally enhance curcumin's biological activity
- Phytosome curcumins support key cell membrane functions
- Helps promote healthy functioning of the joints and other organs
- Supports cell integrity by fighting free radicals, and helps support healthy management of antioxidant defences
- Supports healthy brain ageing and activity
- Supports healthy CRP (C-reactive protein), a liver-produced biomarker for inflammation released into the blood, where low levels indicate good health; trials have shown Curcumin Phytosome produced a marked lowering of CRP
