Rapid Restore is a duo pack that tackles both halves of a bout of diarrhoea. The Nodia tablets settle the diarrhoea itself, and the Enerlyte sachets replace the fluid and salts lost while it lasts.

It is intended for diarrhoea and travellers' gastroenteritis in adults and children.

Ingredients

Nodia tablets: loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg per tablet.

Enerlyte sachets, each sachet: sodium chloride 0.47 g, potassium chloride 0.30 g, sodium acid citrate 0.53 g and glucose 3.56 g.

Directions

Nodia tablets — adults: take 2 tablets to start, then 1 tablet after each soft stool. Do not take more than 8 tablets per day. If the diarrhoea lasts longer than 48 hours, see your doctor.

Enerlyte sachets: fill the enclosed plastic measure to the 200 mL line with fresh, cold drinking water. For infants, use freshly boiled and cooled water. Empty one sachet into the water and stir well before drinking.

• Adults and children over 10 years: 1 to 2 sachets after each loose bowel motion, or 8 to 16 sachets per 24 hours
• Children 5 to 10 years: 1 sachet after each loose bowel motion, or 6 to 12 sachets per 24 hours
• Children under 5 years: refer to the box for dosages by weight

Warnings

• Nodia: if you notice blood in your stool or have a fever, consult your doctor before taking Nodia.
• Nodia: do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding except on your doctor's advice.
• Enerlyte: use water only. Never dilute with lemonade, soft drinks, cordials or any fluid other than water.
• Enerlyte: do not boil the solution once it is made up.
• Enerlyte: made-up solution may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Otherwise discard unused solution within one hour.
