Ingredients
Sodium chloride, equivalent to 9 mg/mL when reconstituted as directed, and sodium bicarbonate.
Directions
- Boil 200mL of water and let it cool until lukewarm. Do not use boiling water.
- Empty the contents of one sachet into the FESS wash bottle.
- Pour the lukewarm water in up to the FULL line. Fit the cap and tube, screw on tightly, cover the cap opening with a finger and shake gently until the powder dissolves.
- Lean over a basin and place the cap gently inside your right nostril, with the tip pointing towards the back of your head.
- Keeping your mouth open, squeeze the bottle in a pulsing action. Remove the bottle from your nose before releasing your grip, so the solution stays clean.
- Let about half the solution wash through and come out of the left nostril, then repeat on the other side.
- Blow your nose if you need to, and discard any solution you do not use within two hours.
- Wash the bottle, cap and tube thoroughly after each use and let them drip dry.
For best results use once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor or specialist. The bottle is a mixing bottle for convenience only and is not a measuring device.
Warnings
Do not take orally. Do not use if your nasal passages are completely blocked or if you have an ear infection. Discontinue use if the wash causes pain or excessive irritation. If symptoms are not relieved within 2 days, consult your healthcare professional. The wash bottle should not be used for any other purpose and should be discarded if it is damaged or discoloured. The sachets contain dry powder — keep them in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
