GASTRO STOP 2mg 12cap

Gastro-Stop's active ingredient, loperamide, works locally in the digestive system by slowing the movement of the intestines. That gives the intestines more time to absorb water and electrolytes, which is what relieves the symptoms of diarrhoea. Relief comes within one to three hours of the first dose.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains loperamide hydrochloride 2mg. Contains sugars and lactose.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 capsules with water initially, then 1 capsule with water after each loose bowel motion as needed. Do not exceed 8 capsules per day.

Warnings

• Do not give to children under 12 years of age.
• If the condition persists after two days of treatment, seek medical advice.
• Do not take if you have a medical condition where constipation should be avoided.
• Do not use if you have a fever, severe stomach pain, bloody diarrhoea or an ongoing bowel condition.
• Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without medical advice.
• Drink plenty of fluids to remain hydrated, as fluid and electrolyte depletion may occur.
• Contains sugars and lactose.
