Hydralyte Effervescent Electrolyte Tablets relieve the symptoms of dehydration and help replace the water and electrolytes lost through vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating and vigorous exercise. They are compact and portable, so they suit travel and on-the-go use.

Signs of mild dehydration include a sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, lethargy, decreased urine output and dark yellow urine.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid anhydrous and glucose anhydrous.

This product also contains: nature identical colour (160a), natural flavour and sucralose.

Contains 0.78 mg/mL potassium and 1.38 mg/mL sodium when made up as directed.

Directions

Recommended intake in the first 6 hours:

  • Under 12 months: 200 to 400ml
  • 1 to 3 years: 400 to 600ml
  • 3 to 6 years: 600 to 900ml
  • 6 to 12 years: 900 to 1,500ml
  • Over 12 years: 1,200 to 2,000ml

Dissolve the tablet in water as directed on the pack. Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.

Warnings

  • Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.
  • Be aware that dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old, and in elderly people.
  • Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.
  • Store below 30°C.
