Hydralyte Effervescent Tablets Orange 40s

Hydralyte Effervescent Electrolyte Tablets in orange flavour relieve the symptoms of dehydration and help replace water and electrolytes lost through vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating, vigorous exercise and occasional hangovers. Each tablet dissolves in water to make an oral rehydration drink. Pack of 40 tablets.

Used for

Relieving the symptoms of dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea, heat, travel, vigorous exercise, heavy sweating, occasional hangovers, and heat or excessive exercise at work.

Signs of mild dehydration include a sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, lethargy, decreased urine output and dark yellow urine.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains glucose 1.62g, citric acid 672mg, sodium from sodium chloride 34.5mg, potassium from potassium chloride 78mg and sodium from sodium bicarbonate 103.5mg. A 200ml dose provides 156mg potassium and 276mg sodium. Also contains sugars, sucralose and mannitol.

Directions

Remove 2 tablets from the pack and replace the cap tightly. Dissolve in 200ml of fresh, cold drinking water and allow two to three minutes to dissolve. For babies under 6 months, use freshly boiled and cooled water. Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist.

In the first 6 hours, the published guidance is 12 to 20 tablets for adults and children 12 years and over, and 2 to 4 tablets for infants under 12 months. Do not exceed 40 tablets a day for adults and children 12 and over, or 10 tablets a day for infants under 12 months.

Always dissolve in water. Never place a tablet directly into the mouth, and do not mix Hydralyte with cordial, fruit juice, soft drinks or sports drinks. Discard unused solution after 2 hours, or after 24 hours if refrigerated.

Warnings

See your doctor or pharmacist if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years, or 48 hours in children over 6 years and adults.

If you have kidney disease, or take medication for your heart or blood pressure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use. If you have high blood pressure, consult your healthcare professional before taking this product. The tablets contain glucose; if you have diabetes, account for it in your daily diet and monitor your blood sugar. Keep out of reach of children.
