Hydralyte Electrolyte Powder relieves the symptoms of dehydration and helps replace the water and electrolytes lost through vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating and vigorous exercise.

Signs of mild dehydration include a sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, lethargy, decreased urine output and dark yellow urine.

Ingredients

Active ingredients per 4.9g sachet: glucose 2.91g, citric acid 880mg, sodium (from sodium chloride) 210mg and potassium (from potassium citrate) 160mg.

Contains sugars and sucralose. Each 200ml dose provides 210mg of sodium and 160mg of potassium.

Directions

Dissolve one sachet in water as directed on the pack.

For dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea:

  • Under 12 months: 100ml every 90 minutes
  • 1 to 3 years: 100ml every 90 minutes
  • 3 to 6 years: 100ml every 60 minutes
  • 7 to 12 years: 100ml every 30 minutes
  • Over 12 years: 200ml every 30 minutes

Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.

Warnings

  • Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.
  • Be aware that dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old, and in elderly people.
  • Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.
  • Store below 30°C.
