Ingredients

Active ingredients per 62.5ml ice block: glucose monohydrate 1g, citric acid monohydrate 300mg, sodium (from sodium chloride) 61.5mg and potassium (from potassium citrate) 50mg.

Each 62.5ml ice block contains 77mg of sodium and 54mg of potassium.

This product also contains: Purified water, carmellose sodium, strawberry kiwi colour solution (123, 110), flavour, sucralose, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and tartrazine.

Directions

Preparation: place the ice blocks in the freezer. When frozen, cut open one end with clean scissors, push the block out from the uncut end and suck small amounts until consumed. They may also be consumed unfrozen.

For dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea:

  • Under 12 months: 1 ice block every 60 minutes, maximum 16 per day
  • 1 to 3 years: 1 ice block every 60 minutes, maximum 24 per day
  • 3 to 6 years: 1 ice block every 30 minutes, maximum 32 per day
  • 6 to 12 years: 2 ice blocks every 30 minutes, maximum 43 per day
  • 12 years to adult: 3 ice blocks every 30 minutes, maximum 64 per day

For dehydration due to other causes: take Hydralyte when thirsty or when showing signs of dehydration. Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.

Warnings

  • Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.
  • Be aware that dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old, and in elderly people.
  • Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage.
  • Store below 30°C.
