Nodia caplets contain loperamide hydrochloride, which makes stools firmer and less frequent. It works by restoring normal muscle contractions in the intestine, giving the bowel time to absorb water.

Ingredients

Each caplet contains loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg.

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years: take 2 caplets initially, then 1 caplet after each loose bowel motion. Do not take more than 8 caplets a day.

Warnings

• Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
• If diarrhoea persists for more than 48 hours, see your doctor.
• If you have a fever, or notice blood in your stools, speak to a doctor before taking it.
• Do not use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding except on a doctor’s advice.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies to medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes, and if you have or have had liver disease, kidney disease, AIDS, glaucoma or bladder problems, or if you regularly drink a lot of alcohol.
