Oracort is a dental paste containing triamcinolone in an emollient base. Applied to a mouth ulcer, it forms a seal over the ulcer so it can heal.

Ingredients

Triamcinolone 0.1% in an emollient dental paste.

Directions

Apply thinly at bedtime, and up to 2 to 3 times a day if necessary, preferably after meals. Do not rub in, as this may cause a gritty sensation.

Warnings

• Avoid using this product if you have fungal, viral or bacterial infections of the mouth or throat, tuberculosis, peptic ulcer or diabetes.
• If the ulcer does not improve after 7 days, or keeps recurring, seek further advice from your pharmacist.
