Proctosedyl Suppositories 12 Pack

Proctosedyl Suppositories combine hydrocortisone, a steroid, with cinchocaine hydrochloride, a local anaesthetic. They are used internally, where the ointment is used externally.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: hydrocortisone 5 mg and cinchocaine hydrochloride 5 mg.

Also contains: liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and wool fat.

Directions

Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to 3 times daily. For rectal use only. For best results, use after a bowel motion, and wash and dry the area first.

Store the suppositories in the fridge. Before use, take one out and warm it in the palm of your hand with the wrapping on, then remove the wrapping before inserting.

Warnings

• Do not use for more than 7 days unless a doctor has told you to.
• Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to hydrocortisone or cinchocaine hydrochloride, or to any of the other ingredients.
• Do not use when infections affecting the anus or surrounding area are present, such as herpes.
• Do not use if you have tuberculosis. Some diseases can be made worse by using Proctosedyl.
• Do not give to children 12 years of age and under.
