Sudafed PE Sinus + Allergy & Pain Relief tablets carry three actives: a pain reliever for sinus pain and headache, a decongestant that reduces the swelling and secretions behind a blocked or runny nose, and an antihistamine for allergy and hay fever symptoms.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 2mg and paracetamol 500mg.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over: 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours when necessary. Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours.

When to stop: adults, after a few days; children, after 48 hours, except on medical advice.

Warnings

• Do not take if you have taken paracetamol within the last four hours, or an antihistamine in the last 24 hours.
• This medicine is not for children under 12 years.
• Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness in some people.
• Chlorpheniramine may cause drowsiness and may affect your ability to drive a car or operate machinery. If drowsy, do not drive or operate machinery.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Keep to the recommended dose.
• If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the National Poisons Centre (0800 764 766) or go to a hospital straight away.
