Sudafed PE Sinus + Pain Relief tablets pair a pain reliever with a decongestant, so one tablet handles both halves of a sinus episode — the ache behind the face and the blockage causing it. The formula is non-drowsy.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains phenylephrine hydrochloride 5mg and paracetamol 500mg.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours when necessary. Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours.

When to stop: adults, after a few days; children, after 48 hours, except on medical advice.

Warnings

• Do not take if you have taken paracetamol within the last four hours.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years.
• Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness in some people.
• Talk with your doctor before taking this medicine if you have high blood pressure, are taking antidepressants, have heart problems or are pregnant.
• Keep to the recommended dose.
• If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the National Poisons Centre (0800 764 766) or go to a hospital straight away.
